I just came across your website. I have a lab/mastiff mix, too. We've had him for just over a year now (he's a little over a year old). I just thought it was funny because our mastador (Rocco) acts just the same way you described your dog.
I think they are great because they are not quite as large as mastiffs, yet have a mastiff personality. A laid-back, easy going dog who doesn't need a whole lot of exercise. I think his favorite activity is sleeping!
Rocco has webbed feet like a lab, but I don't think he knows he's got some water-dog in him. He's been afraid of the water, but we do take him to the beach. And he's actually a great swimmer (he just doesn't realize it). Anyway, I just wanted to see if there are any other mastiff/lab mixes out there.
We got Rocco from the SPCA. We're not sure which parent was the mastiff, which was the lab. And we were told he was a neopolitan mastiff mix, but he's just not that wrinkley. Maybe the wrinkles are more of a recessive gene. Anyway, if you want, I could send you a pic for your website.

Here are a few pictures. The one in which he's standing was when he was 5 months. The one when he's chewing a rawhide roll is around 10 months or so I think. The one with him in the car is about 1 year old. You can't really tell in the pictures, but the skin around his face is really quite flappy and it's funny when he has his head out the window and opens his mouth. It looks like a parachute!
Please show me some pics of your dog when you get a chance. Thanks!

Actually I see you updated your site with some pics! Rocco and your dog almost look as if they could be twins. Rocco has the brownish fur, too, which you can see best in the sun. Rocco had a brother that looked more like the regular mastiffs -- apricot body with black face. I always think we should have gotten his brother, too. But we weren't ready for two dogs!
Best,
